How to Enable Telegram Group Chat History
To enable the Chat History feature in one of the chat groups to newly joined members, users can first update the Telegram app on your device.
Smartphone users can update the application on the Google Play Store or the Apps Store, then search for the Telegram application and click the “Update” menu available.
Next, you can select one of the Telegram groups that you want to show your Chat history to new members. For the record, you must be the admin or owner of the group to enable the Chat History feature.
After opening one of the Telegram group chat pages on your device, click on the name of the group, then select the “Edit” icon in the available menu.
By selecting the “Edit” menu, the user will enter the Telegram group settings. As explained earlier, only the owner and the person appointed to be the group admin can access the menu.
After entering into settings, users can search for the “Chat History” feature and display it to new members. Before you activate it, the chat history status is hidden, and cannot be seen by the newly joined group members.
To activate it, users only need to change the “Hidden” status to “Visible” in the column provided and the chat history in the group can be known by new members.
